Overview
Did you know you can identify a tree species just by looking at the twig? Leaves are not the only characteristic that defines a tree species; bark, twigs, buds, shape, and even smell can be used to identify a tree during the winter months.
Join us as we take a closer look at the diverse species of trees present along our trails at Succop Nature Park. We will discuss the wildlife benefit and historical use of the various species encountered.
Advance registration required. $6 per Audubon Member; $10 per nonmember. This is an outdoor program. While the trails at Succup Nature Park are fairly flat, trails can be wet, muddy, and/or icy during the winter months. Pleae be sure to wear proper shoes and come dressed for the weather. Use the driveway with our mailbox. Once parked, come to the lower level of the Red Barn.
