Basketball
With dozens of basketball courts, Butler County is a slam dunk for basketball tournaments.
Bowling
Butler County has six bowling alleys with close to 100 lanes. The PA State Bowling Championships for both men and women have been hosted here.
Disc Golf
Butler County is an excellent location for disc golf. The PDGA Pro Disc Golf World Championships were held in western PA in 2015, utilizing two of our courses, and the PDGA Junior Disc Golf World Championships will be held here in 2026.
Football
Butler County has over 15 football fields, including 12 turf fields and a flag football facility.
Golf
With sixteen golf courses all within a half hour’s drive of each other, Butler County is a golfer's delight. There are more golf courses per capita than most areas of the country!
Gymnasium Sports
Need a gym for your activities? We’ve got dozens, including a complete progressive Olympic style gymnastics facility–its competitive setup of regulation men’s and women’s gymnastics equipment includes overhead spotting belts for each event.
Hockey
Butler County has three sheets of ice, including the official practice facility of the Pittsburgh Penguins! The UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex has brought dozens of hockey tournaments and competitions; it holds two full-size rinks and seats approximately 1,000 spectators.
Lacrosse
Lacrosse is a growing and dynamic sport in Butler County. From high school stadiums to community fields, the county boasts several venues with a dozen fields–both artificial turf and grass surfaces.
Motor Racing
Like dirt and driving fast? Lernerville Speedway is one of the best-maintained and successful dirt tracks in the country. The dirt oval track is a half mile and there is seating for approximately 12,000 spectators.
Pickleball
Butler County boasts 66 pickleball courts in over a dozen venues.

Butler County has close to 70 soccer fields, so if you’ve got a large tournament, we can host it!
