Overview

Learn the history, different styles, creation of bonsai from nursery or garden center to the general care and requirements of bonsai. On display will be bonsai trees, bonsai soil, tools, wire used to shape the tree and a selection of bonsai pots plus educational handouts.

Jim Osborne, a of native of New Orleans has spent the past 25 plus years growing, teaching, displaying, and demonstrating bonsai all across the Gulf South. He has served as president of New Orleans Bonsai society. His winning bonsai have been displayed at the New Orleans Botanical Garden Museum of Art as well as regionally and nationally featured on television, magazines and newspapers. Jim lives in Slippery Rock along with his wife and daughter.
