Become a Frogwatch USA volunteer by attending this training hosted at Jennings on Saturday, March 14th from 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM.
Join us as Chris Davis from the Pymatuning Lab of Ecology (Univ. of Pitt.) teaches prospective community scientists how to:
Identify the various calls of our local frog and toad species
Identify a good wetland to monitor
Record and enter your data into the FrogWatch USA online database
Once trained, a FrogWatch USA volunteer will monitor a wetland of their choice during the frog breeding season (March - August). The data collected is used to track changes in species distributions.
This is a free experience and registration is required, please register above or call the Center at 724-794-6011 by Wednesday, March 11th. Although there is not an age restriction, the program is most appropriate for people 11 years old and up.
