Overview
Unveiling a New Historical Drama:
"The Roeblings of Saxonburg,” Premieres This July
We are thrilled to announce the opening of "The Roeblings of Saxonburg,” an evocative historical drama, written and directed by Rennick Steele, that tells the remarkable story of the Roebling family, German immigrants whose ingenuity led to the development of wire rope crucial for the construction of iconic suspension bridges, including the Brooklyn Bridge. This powerful narrative intertwines the lives of the Roebling family, particularly spotlighting John A. Roebling, Washington Roebling—a hero of the Civil War—and his courageous wife, Emily Warren Rolling, who played a pivotal role in completing the Brooklyn Bridge. Set against the backdrop of 19th-century America, the play explores themes of ambition, love, and legacy, while celebrating the spirit of resilience that shaped our nation. Join us for the opening in July and witness the unfolding of a compelling chapter in our history.
