Butler County Visitor Spending Exceeds 2019 Numbers
(BUTLER, Pa., February 25, 2025) - Butler County’s travel spending numbers are at our highest level yet with traveler spending totaling $666.3 million dollars. These numbers come from the latest Economic Impact of Pennsylvania’s Travel and Tourism Industry Report.
The report reflects an increase in spending within all five major categories:
- $156.5 million spent on food & beverage
- $117.7 million in retail spending
- $74.6 million spent on lodging
- $133.9 million in recreation
- $183.6 million in transportation
There was also an increase in travel industry employment, reflecting how a robust tourism industry creates jobs for our County.
