PULLMAN RECREATION COMPLEX OPENS WITH PRESTIGIOUS COLLEGIATE RUGBY EVENTS

BUTLER COUNTY, PA (December 2, 2025) – Experience Butler County, PA (EBC)’s sponsorship with National College Rugby and the new Pullman Recreation Complex is expected to bring visitors to the area for the National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) Division I and Division I-AA National Semifinals on Saturday, December 6, 2025.

The Pullman Complex finished its rugby fields just ahead of the National Collegiate Rugby Quarterfinals, which took place on November 22.

EBC worked with sports tourism organization PA Sports to secure a $3,000 sponsorship grant for the National College Rugby event. PA Sports is a team of leading sports tourism organizations across the Commonwealth that works to attract and host sporting events.

Amy Pack, President of Experience Butler County PA, said, "We are excited to work with National College Rugby and sponsor these prestigious events in Butler County." She added, “The incredible new fields at Pullman Recreation Complex are an example of how our county is continually working towards improving and elevating our sporting venues to support sports tourism.”

In addition to the brand-new fields, the teams will use the complexes’ concessions and facilities, as well as local hotels and restaurants, throughout their stay. NCR will be returning to the bright blue fields in April.

Match Schedule (Dec 6, 2025)
The following D1AA and D1 East Championship matches are scheduled for the Pullman fields:

• 11:00 AM: University of Louisville vs. Bowling Green (D1AA East Championship)
• 3:00 PM: Walsh vs. St. Bonaventure (D1 East Championship)
• The winners of these semifinal matches will advance to the National Championship finals in Houston, TX.
