Whether you’re looking to frolic in wildflower fields, pick your own produce, or experience fresh air on the farm, Butler County PA is the cream of the crop! Just a half-hour from Downtown Pittsburgh, there are plenty of affordable family-friendly things to do and engaging date nights to experience.
Bowser's Blueberries is a family owned "U-pick" blueberry farm located 6 miles west of Butler, Pa. Since 2011, the Bowser family has grown over 5,700 plants that include 10 different varieties of berries! Check out their Facebook for more information.
Buy apples fresh of the tree, or hops straight from the vine! This family farm has amazing produce and turkeys for sale each year. Seasonally, they invite you to pick your own grapes and wildflowers!

Get creative and reserve your spot for this one of a kind, painting experience! Steele's Brushes and Ceramics invites you to a variety of events, including painting with goats, lambs, and fluffy, baby Highland cows! These special events are added to the schedule throughout the year and sell out quickly.
Visitors are welcome to stop, shop, and visit with alpacas at Asgard Acres! Call ahead to schedule a time to visit the farm and learn about the sales, breeding, boarding, and "alpaca lifestyle!"
This five-day event showcases Butler County's farming community. Farm-related activities include judging, exhibits & demonstrations, animals, arts & crafts, and farm products. Also, don't forget to check out the truck & tractor pulls, midway, music, entertainment, and rides!
