Overview
Most of us think of places like Valley Forge and the crossing of the Delaware when we picture the Revolutionary War. Yet important events were unfolding much closer to home, affecting Indigenous communities, colonists, loyalists, enslaved people, and others who called this region home.
On June 17, Wil Taylor of Jennings Environmental Education Center will explore the conflicts, cultures, and competing ideas of freedom that shaped the frontier regions of present-day Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia.
As America approaches its 250th anniversary, join us for a fascinating look at a part of Revolutionary history that is often overlooked.
