Overview
We invite you to join us for this historic Independence Day celebration as Mars salutes our country's 250th birthday on July 3 & 4, in downtown Mars and Marburger Field.
July 3
- Petting Zoo at St. John Lutheran Church
- Rides on the Mars Area History & Landmarks Society Shortline Railroad, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Council of Three Rivers American Indian Center dance presentation honoring the Lenape and Seneca tribes who originally settled in the area well over 250 years ago, Marburger Field at 8 p.m.
- Screening of the family-friendly movie "Sandlot"
July 4
- Special America250 Ceremony @ USS Mars Bell to dedicate new flagpole, 11 a.m.
- Downtown vendor market featuring local artisans, food trucks, sidewalk sales, and old-fashioned kids' games, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Mars 4th of July Parade, 5 p.m.
- Marburger Field community cookout 6:30 p.m.
- Fireworks– BEGINS AT DUSK! Tune in to 88.1 FM to enjoy music to go along with the fireworks!
