Overview
The Saxonburg Museum will be open from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, welcoming visitors to explore the rich history of our community and its contributions to America.
Throughout town, historical actors and portrayals will bring the past to life, sharing stories and firsthand accounts of the people and events that helped shape Saxonburg and our nation. Visitors can also enjoy the Reading of the Declaration of Independence at the Saxonburg Public Library and the performance of Taps in the library courtyard.
The evening parade (5 p.m.) will feature antique carriages from the 1976 Bicentennial, the iconic Bantam Jeep, tractors, fire trucks, historical portrayals, floats, bagpipes, military color guards, veterans, active-duty military personnel, and first responders. A special tribute will honor Chief Gregory Adams, who gave his life protecting our community in 1980.
The celebration will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display at the Saxonburg Carnival Grounds, generously sponsored by New Life Christian Ministries.
